Immerse yourself in the Main Street Event of Irving, Texas. Thursday, check into a suite at Comfort Suites Las Colinas, September 18. Be sure to join us for complimentary hot/cold snacks and beer/wine from5:00 to 6:30 p.m. that evening.
Friday morning rise and shine to enjoy a complimentary, expansive hot breakfast buffet served every morning in the hotel lobby starting at 6:30 a.m.Your breakfast favorites await you–scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs, sausage, bacon, a variety of breakfast breads & cereals, fresh fruits, juice, yogurts and much more. After breakfast visit one of the learning and entertainment venues nearby–the Boy Scout Museum, Irving Arts Center, Lego Land, the Mustangs of Las Colinas water sculpture, Lake Carolyn Gondola Rides—all within a few minutes of the hotel!
Friday afternoon take a complimentary shuttle ride in our hotel van to the neighborhood Dart Rail Station for a quick, Mass transit ride to downtown Irving. Irving’s Main Street Event kicks off with the opening of Fun Zone at 6 p.m. Thrill to free rides on a giant zipline or zoom down a mighty-high slide! At 6:30 p.m live Music fills the air. Popular local groups perform on the Main Stage until 10 p.m. Saturday, September 20, festivities begin at noon again with Fun Zone playtime and Main Stage music. Today the Manifolds of Main Street Car Show will be on exhibit from noon until 4 p.m. See custom and classic cars from the 1900’s to today. Stroll through the isles of the Marketplace and purchase your summer souvenir. Choose from displays of original works of art, crafts, clothing, jewelry, home décor, and sample exotic foods. Live Music continues throughout the day until closing at 8 p.m. Sunday, eat a hearty, free breakfast at the hotel. After you pack up the car, be sure to plan for a couple of hours to do a little last minute Back-to-School shopping at one of the malls nearby before finally making your way back home.
